On December 2021, we have decided to create the Association for early career Women Archaeologists and Paleontologists (AWAP). This initiative follows the wish, expressed by a number of you, to consolidate our community of early career women Archaeologists and Paleontologists, and to develop several actions related to the promotion of women in science, particularly in our disciplines.

Our main objectives are to:

- Promote the work of early career women Archaeologists and Paleontologists
- Encourage interdisciplinary scientific exchanges and collaborations
- Discuss the difficulties faced by women in our disciplines and concrete actions to move toward more equal research
- Encourage scientific vocations among young girls
- Promote science and the work of women scientists among the general public
